After ‘Roohi’, ‘Mumbai Saga’ became the second big film to release on the big screen. As makers are looking forward to bring fans back to the theatres across the world, the numbers are not translating into box office success. The John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi-starrer ‘Mumbai Saga’ released on March 19th, collected Rs 2.82 crore on the opening day at the box office. Blame it on only 50 percent occupancy rule by the government or Covid fear, the second day collection slipped marginally to Rs 2.40 crore. Sunday was better with Rs 3.52 crore at the ticket windows. The five-day collection of the film stands at Rs 11.70 crore. The Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra-starrer ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ hit the screens on the same day. Despite glowing reviews, it made only about Rs 25 lakh at the box office in three days.
