Churning out hits after hits over a career spanning decades, awards are nothing new to Asha Bhosle. Governments world over have honoured the icon for years and here’s one more in her kitty. Asha Bhosle is honoured by the state government with its highest medal, Maharashtra Bhushan Award. On the joyous occasion, Bhosle said, “Just got the news of being bestowed the Maharashtra State highest honour to a civilian – Maharashtra Bhushan Puraskar. My heartfelt gratitude to the people of Maharashtra for conferring upon me this highest level of honour the state can award to an individual. Am eternally grateful and no better people to enjoy it with than with your own.” The singer also posted a video where she is seen celebrating with her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle.
