Ajay Devgn suffered a massive setback when the sets of his upcoming film ‘Maidaan’ were damaged due to the recent cyclone Tauktae. The storm didn’t hit Mumbai directly but the wind gusts nearing 200 kilometer per hour destroyed the sets erected on the outskirts of Mumbai. It is reported that there were about 49 workers present trying to salvage whatever they could. But their efforts went in vain as the rains coupled with wind didn’t spare anything coming its way. This is the second time that producers Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios have endured this loss in a successive year. In 2020, ‘Maidaan’ sets were destroyed in rains after lying unused for many months due to the lockdown. Despite the setbacks, the makers have confirmed that the film will release in theatres and not on OTT.
