Karan Johar has announced a new film as a producer under his Dharma Productions banner. The yet untitled film is based on one of the India’s saddest chapters in history, the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. Revealing some details about the project, Karan says, “We are extremely excited and honoured to be bringing the untold story of C. Sankaran Nair, a historic man, to the big screens. The film is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi but more details will follow soon!” Apart from being based on real life events, the film will be adapted from the book The Case That Shook The Empire written by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat. Waiting to go on the floors soon, the lead cast will be announced shortly as well.
