Kangana Ranaut, Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor and Adnan Sami were in the Indian capital today to receive the prestigious Padma Shri Award. These celebrities were honoured for their contribution in the field of performing arts. Padma Shri is the fourth-highest civilian honour and was presented at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi today by President Ram Nath Kovind. Veteran actor Jeetendra had accompanied daughter Ekta for this prestigious ceremony. The filmmaker dedicated this honour to her parents. Penning a note of gratitude post event, KJo shared on Instagram, “I am honoured and humbled that the prestigious Padma Shri Award was bestowed upon me. I feel extremely fortunate to receive it from the hands of our honourable President Shri Ram Nath Kovind. This is a monumental day for me, my mother, my kids and my company, and will forever be etched in my memory.”
