The Abhishek Bachchan starrer ‘Bob Biswas’, which is a spin-off of an iconic character from ‘Kahaani’ will release on OTT soon. The film is backed by Shah Rukh Khan and the makers have decided to skip a theatrical release. The producers and director have opted to showcase it directly on a digital platform as many have done recently. This thriller will reportedly release on the streaming platform Zee 5. Abhishek started shooting for ‘Bob Biswas’ in November 2020 during the pandemic. His title character is inspired from Bob, a contract killer who featured in Sujoy Ghosh’s 2012 film ‘Kahaani’. Keeping it all in the family, ‘Bob Biswas’ will mark the directorial debut of Diya Annapurna Ghosh who is Sujoy Ghosh’s daughter.
