Taapsee Pannu first made news when she took to the field to shoot for ‘Shabaash Mithu’, based on India’s women’s cricket. Taapsee plays Indian women cricket captain Mithali Raj in the film and chronicles her highs and lows. On the occasion of Mithali’s birthday which is on December 3rd, the makers along with Taapsee announced the release date of ‘Shabaash Mithu’. The film is slated to release on February 4th 2022. This will coincide with one of the biggest events, ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 in March. Keeping in mind the large scale mounting of the film, it will be released in theatres first before hitting any OTT platform. Taapsee is regularly seen sharing sneak peeks like on the set pictures and anecdotes.
