The Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer ‘83’ is ready to release on December 24th. But before the film’s cricket team hits a sixer, ‘83’ has to deal with a legal issue. A cheating complaint is filed against the film’s producers, namely Vibri Media’s Vishnu Induri, Sajid Nadiadwala, director-producer Kabir Khan and even Deepika Padukone, who is a co-producer. A UAE-based firm Future Resources FZE has filed a complaint in a Mumbai court allegedly for breach of trust and cheating. The complainant is claiming a right in the film’s share. Trying to clear the air, Vibri Media released a statement saying, “We would like to deny the claims and clarify that the makers of ‘83’ are in no way concerned with the case.” The defence also termed this a “publicity gimmick” nearing the release and is contemplating legal recourse.
