Kangana Ranaut has filed a fresh plea against the order passed by the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court. In a petition filed through her advocate in the Dindoshi sessions court in Mumbai, the ‘Thalaivii’ actress has challenged the rejection of her plea seeking transfer of all proceedings. The entire controversial episode is pertaining to a defamation case filed by lyricist Javed Akhtar against her. The same would be heard under section 408 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) which deals with transfer cases and appeals. The Andheri Magistrate had reportedly said that if the applicant is not present for hearing on the next date, an arrest warrant will be issued against her. Kangana claims that this has harmed her image as she is not a seasoned criminal and the Magistrate is biased. Allegedly having no faith in the specific court, she wants the case to be transferred. The next hearing is scheduled to be on January 27th.
