As soon as the ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’ trailer starring Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Singh was launched, the makers are embroiled in a controversy. A Pakistani singer with the name Abrar ul Haq has claimed that the song ‘Nach Punjaban’ is his creation and producer Karan Johar has used it without the former’s permission. Immediately going into damage control mode, T-Series, which holds the music rights of the film, released a statement, “We have legally acquired the rights to adapt the song ‘Nach Punjaban’ from the album ‘Nach Punjaban’ released on iTunes on 1st January 2022 and is also available on Lollywood Classics’ YouTube channel, owned and operated by Moviebox Records Label, for the film ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’, produced by Dharma Productions. All due credits shall be included across all platforms when the song releases. As represented by Moviebox Records Label, the said song copyright exclusively vest with Moviebox only with all valid documents.” On the other hand, the trailer has received a huge round of applause from fans as the film is a comedy drama directed by Raj Mehta.
