Deepika Padukone is seen playing the girl next door in Shoojit Sircar’s just released film ‘Piku’. Speaking about her inspiration for the role, Deepika said, “Every woman is going to identify with that character. Piku represents today’s Indian woman, a woman who is independent, financially and otherwise and even emotionally. Trying to be perfect at all she does, whether it is being the perfect daughter, wife, girlfriend and how she beautifully manages to multi-task. The inspiration for this role was every Indian woman.” The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan in vital roles.
