Opening to mixed reviews and a little slow start, ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ earned a whopping Rs 200 crore at the worldwide box office which surprised everyone. At the domestic box office it garnered Rs 130.47 crore. The film opened to Rs 15.73 crore and ended with Rs 155.32 crore on the Indian box office with another Rs 45.94 crore pouring-in from the international market. Directed by Luv Ranjan, ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ talks about two upper class families living in Delhi. While on a vacation, Rohan Arora aka Micky (Ranbir Kapoor), and Tinni (Shraddha Kapoor) meet in Spain and what happens later forms the rest of the story.
