Kangana Ranaut and Javed Akhtar’s controversy after her statement on a public platform dates back to 2021. Since then, the two have been in the news for an ongoing legal battle. In a fresh development, Javed Akhtar has now been summoned by a court. As per reports, a magistrate court has summoned the scriptwriter / lyricist under Sections 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (insult to the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) based on complaints filed by Kangana. He has been asked to appear in court on August 5th. The fight between the two celebrities involves Hrithik Roshan, with whom Kangana was said to be in love with. The actress alleged in an interview that Akhtar asked her to apologise to Hrithik. In turn, Akhtar filed a defamation case against Kangana.
