Despite slow advance bookings, the Ayushmann Khurrana starrer comic caper ‘Dream Girl 2’ has done surprisingly well at the box office. Releasing on Friday, August 25th, the first day collection of ‘Dream Girl 2’ stood at a tall Rs 10.69 crore. The collection increased on the next two days as it minted another Rs 14.02 crore and Rs 16 crore on Saturday and Sunday respectively. With this, the total three-day collection by the end of the first week weekend was Rs 40.71 crore. ‘Dream Girl 2’ also stars Ananya Panday, Paresh Rawal and Annu Kapoor accompanying Ayushmann Khurrana. On the parallel tracks, the earlier two films, ‘Gadar 2’ and ‘OMG 2’ are also going strong at the ticket windows. This might have slowed down ‘Dream Girl 2’s’ box office collections a bit.
