The Karan Johar directed ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ became one of Hindi cinema’s most iconic films. And still remains so even after 25 years. So on the occasion of the film completing its Silver Jubilee, the stars Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji and Karan Johar had a reunion of sorts. The filmmaker arranged for a special screening of ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ where he invited the actors to mark this special occasion. Talking about his bond with KJo at this event, Shah Rukh Khan revealed a secret very few know, “Many think Karan is my friend. But it was his father Yash Johar, who was my friend. To me, this film was important because Karan at that time was 23-24 years old and I have a son now, Aryan, who is that old. So now when I look back upon it, I feel very happy and proud as I launched a young son (Karan Johar), because I was a little more established than Karan was at that time.” Shah Rukh also felt that ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ “has stood the test of time”. Kajol, though, gave the event a miss.
