Bollywood was shaken by the sudden demise of Baba Siddique who hosted the most opulent iftar parties that were attended by Salman and Shah Rukh Khan among others. Soon after he was shot, reports emerged that the former MLA was gunned down by an alleged member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang due to Baba Siddique’s ties with Salman Khan. Reacting to the same, Arbaaz said at a press conference, “Baba Siddique sir was a very-very close family friend and a very loved person. ‘Unke saath dekho aap hamesha, Eid ke time pe puri industry jama hoti thi toh unke jaane ka bada afsos ho raha hai.’ (Everyone from the industry would celebrate Eid with him. We are all grieving his death). Prayers for the family. We are all affected by this incident and it’s very unfortunate. We are all kind of trying to recover from this thing.” An emotionally shaken Salman was seen visiting the Siddique family to pay his last respects. Security was also beefed-up for the actor following the threats.
