On Monday night, a fire erupted at Skypan Apartments in Andheri West where renowned singer Udit Narayan resides. The incident which authorities suspect was triggered by either a malfunctioning electrical device or a lit diya, led to a tragic loss and injuries. Seventy-five-year-old Rahul Mishra lost his life due to smoke inhalation, while his relative Raunak Mishra sustained injuries during the blaze. The emergency necessitated a swift evacuation and a power shutdown as flames engulfed the apartment complex around 9:15 pm. Firefighters responded promptly and battled the intense flames, managing to contain the fire by 11:30 pm and initiating cooling operations. Reports of falling debris, including metal and glass shards, highlighted the severity of the destruction. Fortunately, Udit Narayan was unharmed in this harrowing ordeal as reports claim.
