The epic tale ‘Padmaavat’ helmed by renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and starring the powerhouse trio – Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor – was originally set for a theatrical re-release on January 24th 2025. However, due to unforeseen circumstances the release date has now shifted to February 6th 2025. Fans eagerly anticipate soaking in the grandeur and visual splendor Bhansali is known for. The film is famous for its opulent sets and striking period visuals and is a hallmark of Bhansali’s cinematic brilliance. The announcement came via Instagram with a post captioned, “The epic saga re-releases on a new date – 6th February 2025! Relive the iconic tale on the big screen.” Set in the historical backdrop of 1303 AD, ‘Padmaavat’ narrates the valiant and poignant story of Rani Padmavati as she confronts the menacing Sultan Alauddin Khilji. The film, originally released in 2018, boasts a staggering box office collection at the time of Rs 571.98 crore.
