After a 24-year hiatus, Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon is making a grand comeback to Tamil cinema with Vijay Antony’s upcoming courtroom drama, ‘Lawyer’. This marks her third Tamil film following her performances in ‘Saadhu’ (1994) and ‘Aalavandhan’ (2001). Directed by Joshua Sethuraman, ‘Lawyer’ delves into the journey of a first-generation lawyer navigating the complexities of the legal world. The film starring Vijay Antony sheds light on the struggles of law graduates and the challenges faced by the working class. Unlike conventional courtroom dramas, ‘Lawyer’ is expected to take a strictly technical approach steering clear of romantic subplots. Raveena, although a Hindi film actress, was instantly captivated by the project after watching Sethuraman’s debut film, ‘Gentlewoman’ which convinced her to join the cast without hesitation.
