Renowned storyteller Javed Akhtar recently celebrated Aamir Khan’s latest cinematic venture ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, praising its impressive box office surge since its June 20 release. Taking to X on June 22nd, Akhtar shared his delight over the film’s success stating, “So happy to learn about the record leap that ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ has taken at the box office on the second day. Who says good films have no takers in the audience? Congratulations to Aamir Khan and his team.” Helmed by RS Prasanna and penned by Divy Nidhi Sharma, the film is viewed as a thematic successor to Khan’s 2007 classic ‘Taare Zameen Par’. However, this time around the narrative shifts focus from educational challenges to broader themes of inclusion, inner strength and the voices of a new generation stepping into their light. The film continues to charm viewers exclusively in theaters. Aamir Khan has also taken the decision not to release the film on any OTT platform. It can only been seen in theaters and eventually for purchase on YouTube.
