Half a century after its original release, the legendary Bollywood epic ‘Sholay’ is poised to reclaim the spotlight with a grand reintroduction at the renowned II Cinema Ritrovato Festival in Bologna, Italy. On June 27th, the iconic film will be screened in its restored and uncut glory beneath the stars at the majestic Piazza Maggiore. Directed by Ramesh Sippy and crafted by the celebrated writing duo Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, the movie united an unforgettable cast – Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Sanjeev Kumar, Jaya Bachchan and Amjad Khan – into what would become cinematic folklore.
