After a blazing start, ‘Saiyaara’ helmed by Mohit Suri has transitioned from blockbuster buzz to box office resilience. The film opened on July 18th and surged through its first two weeks raking in ₹172.75 crore in week one and ₹107.75 crore in week two according to Sacnilk. But as it stepped into its third week, the momentum began to waver. Friday’s ₹4.5 crore haul signaled a slowdown though the weekend offered a modest rebound with ₹6.75 crore on Saturday and ₹8 crore on Sunday. Despite falling short of the ₹300 crore milestone over the weekend, the film edged past it on Monday reaching ₹300.11 crore with ₹1.2 crore from morning shows alone. While the numbers remain impressive, ‘Saiyaara’ now faces the challenge of sustaining audience interest after a few more releases in these three weeks.
