Despite a promising start, ‘Jolly LLB 3’ experienced a rollercoaster ride at the box office in its opening week. Starring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, the film kicked off with Rs 12.5 crore on Friday, surging to Rs 20 crore on Saturday and peaking at Rs 21 crore on Sunday. However, the momentum faltered sharply on Monday with a steep 74 percent drop bringing in just Rs 5.5 crore. The midweek saw mixed results – Tuesday climbed to Rs 6.5 crore, but Wednesday and Thursday dipped again to Rs 4.5 crore and Rs 3.75 crore respectively. The total for week one stood at Rs 73.75 crore with the weekend contributing a hefty Rs 53.5 crore. While the numbers are solid, they slightly trail behind ‘Jolly LLB 2’ which had a stronger weekday run and closed its first week at Rs 77.71 crore. With minimal competition ahead, all eyes are now on how ‘Jolly LLB 3’ fares in its second weekend.
