Akshaye Khanna has unexpectedly become the face of ‘Dhurandhar’s’ cultural takeover thanks to a single scene that has temporarily eclipsed even the film’s box‑office momentum. The movie may be thriving for its performances and tight narrative, but it’s Khanna’s electrifying arrival as Rehman Dakait synced perfectly to the Bahraini rap banger ‘FA9LA’ that has detonated across social media. The combination of his unhurried stride, that sly, knowing grin and a few effortlessly cool dance steps has turned the track into a phenomenon far beyond the film itself.
The song originally created by Bahraini rapper Flipperachi (Hussam Aseem), blends Khaleeji hip hop with booming bass and Arabic trap textures. Released in 2024 and later reworked for the film by Shashwat Sachdev, ‘FA9LA’ literally translates to a fun gathering or party, an ironic contrast to the tense standoff unfolding on screen between Rehman Dakait and a Baloch rebel leader. Yet, it’s precisely this clash of mood and music, amplified by Akshaye Khanna’s magnetic presence that has transformed the moment into one of the year’s most addictive viral loops.
