Farah Khan Kunder has made it clear in her latest YouTube vlog that her return to filmmaking depends entirely on Shah Rukh Khan’s involvement. While visiting actor Nakuul Mehta at his Mumbai residence, the conversation turned nostalgic as he expressed how much he misses the kind of cinema Farah once created. Farah responded with enthusiasm, saying, “‘Abhi banaungi main! Abhi bachche chale jayenge na college, fir banaungi! There is a whole petition on the internet called ‘Wapas aao, Farah Khan.’” She explained that once her children head off to college, she intends to start working on a new project, adding, “At the end of this year, I think, I will start.” When asked if YouTube would finance her film, she joked about needing the platform to help cover her children’s education expenses. Farah then emphasised her condition for returning to the director’s chair: “If I do (direct a film), I will do it with Shah Rukh! Otherwise, I will wait and do YouTube.” Her last directorial venture was ‘Happy New Year’ in 2014, a commercial success featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Sonu Sood and Boman Irani.
