The buzz around a possible cinematic take on the book The Immortals of Meluha recently swept across social platforms fueled by chatter that Ranveer Singh had acquired rights to Amish Tripathi’s celebrated mythological saga. Rumors painted the picture of an ambitious trilogy with Ranveer embodying Lord Shiva. Yet, the author himself has stepped in to quash the excitement, clarifying that no deal exists for a screen version of the book. “The rights for the Shiva Trilogy are with me and nothing has been signed with anyone as yet. Ranveer is one of the finest Indian actors ever in my opinion. I am a big fan of his. But this news is not true,” said Amish. Tripathi’s trilogy comprises three titles: The Immortals of Meluha, The Secret of The Nagas and The Oath of The Vayuputras.
