During an appearance on Neha Dhupia’s vlog alongside her co-host Angad Bedi, Saba Ali Khan reflected on her journey to remaining single, disclosing details about her romantic history that may surprise many. The sibling of acclaimed performers Saif Ali Khan and Soha Ali Khan opened-up candidly about her reasons for never taking the plunge into matrimony. Saba elaborated on how her personal circumstances shaped her decisions, noting that companionship prospects presented themselves from her late teens onward, “I did not have a first boyfriend. I was introduced to a lot of people for marriage from the age of 18 or 19, but I didn’t marry any of them. Though at 19, I almost did marry someone in Kolkata whom I had been introduced to. But that didn’t quite work out. I wasn’t really ready for it.” Despite these early possibilities, none materialized into long-term commitment. As time progressed, Saba found herself assessing potential partners through a particular lens shaped by her family background. She explained her perspective by saying, “I just didn’t find anyone who was truly compatible. And after having a father like Abba… honestly, he was such a remarkable person. Not that you’re looking for someone exactly like your father, but your father is your father.” The significant influence of her late father, the legendary Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, evidently played a defining role in her relationship choices throughout her life.
