The action-comedy ‘Udta Teer’ stars Ayushmann Khurrana as Bilal, a Pakistani spy who mistakenly believes he is an Indian counter-terrorism officer following a memory-erasing explosion. The film’s trailer which premiered this Tuesday has stirred deep emotion among viewers as it serves as the final performance of Mukul Dev. Having passed away on May 23, 2025 at 54, Dev played a pivotal role in the production. During the trailer’s debut, Khurrana honoured his late co-star’s legacy by stating, “Mukul Dev was one of the brightest, most brilliant talents in our country. There was a film named ‘Omerta’ (2018). It was his brainchild. We sadly underutilised him. In ‘Udta Teer’, you’ll see him for the last time. This is like a swan song; it’s a tribute to Mukul Dev.” The film is scheduled to release on October 9th.
