Karan Johar is one successful filmmaker and is now also supporting short films. However, KJo cannot make them himself. He said, “All kinds of content must be made and if it is engaging then why not. But for me it is a big challenge to tell a story in 10-20 minutes because brevity is something I have not understood if you see my repertoire of work. So budget and time are huge challenges for me.” Having said that, Karan did make one short film as part of a bigger project, ‘Bombay Talkies’. The maker was given a budget of Rs 1 crore. Reminiscing the memory KJo said, “It had given me sleepless nights and I didn’t know how to do it. But I would proudly say that I pulled it off in 97 lakhs.”
