The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has invited 774 new members to be a part of the Oscars family from across 57 countries. Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have been invited to be a part of the Academy and cast a ballot at the next year’s Oscar Awards. Priyanka Chopra, who is already earning a name internationally, was made a part of the club, thanks to her cinematic contributions like ‘Barfi!’ and ‘Baywatch’. While Deepika Padukone is also included in the list, recognized for her work in ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’ and ‘Piku’. Perfectionist Aamir Khan too is a part of the coveted class credited for his works like ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Lagaan’. Other Bollywood stars granted the Academy membership includes Irrfan Khan (‘Life of Pi’, ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ and Salman Khan (‘Sultan’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’). Apparently, each member will get to cast a vote in the respective category they belong to.
