The simmering tensions within the Khan family have resurfaced, following explosive remarks by Faissal Khan that cast a shadow over his relationship with brother Aamir Khan. In response, the family issued a detailed rebuttal, expressing anguish over what they described as a distorted narrative. “We are distressed by Faissal’s hurtful and misleading portrayal of his mother Zeenat Tahir Husain, his sister Nikhat Hegde and his brother Aamir,” the statement read, underscoring their collective disappointment. The family emphasized that decisions concerning Faissal were made with medical guidance and emotional care: “Every choice regarding Faissal has been taken collectively as a family, in consultation with multiple medical professionals, and has been based on love, compassion, and a desire to support his emotional and psychological wellbeing.” They also explained their silence on the matter, citing the sensitivity of the situation: “For this reason, we have refrained from publicly discussing the details of a painful and difficult period for our family.” Urging restraint from the press, the statement concluded with a plea: “We request the media for empathy, and to refrain from turning a private matter into salacious, inflammatory and hurtful gossip.” The message was signed by a long list of family members, including Reena Datta, Junaid Khan, Ira Khan, and others.
