Ronnie Screwvala has announced a biopic on the hockey great Major Dhyan Chand. The film will be produced under RSVP Movies and Blue Monkey Films banners and Abhishek Chaubey will helm this biopic. The cast is yet to be decided. On the occasion, RSVP Movies shared, “1500-plus goals, 3 Olympic Gold medals and a story of India’s pride… It gives us immense pleasure to announce our next with director Abhishek Chaubey – a biopic on the hockey wizard of India, Dhyan Chand.” Abhishek along with Supratik Sen worked for over a year to pen this project and now the team is ready with its screenplay. Being in awe of the hockey legend, it is said that thorough research has gone into the biopic which is scheduled to hit screens in 2022.
