Bollywood is currently smitten by period films and riding high on the success of ‘Kesari’, Akshay Kumar has finalized another period drama. While it was earlier rumored that he has been offered to play Chandragupta Maurya in Yash Raj Films’ next, the actor has now green-lit the project. With Aditya Chopra producing the saga, the film is expected to be mounted on a grand scale. Akshay has reportedly given his nod to start the film soon. The makers are eyeing to release the magnum opus in 2020. Akki recently wrapped up the shooting of ‘Good News’ with Kareena Kapoor Khan and is now doing the remake of the South horror film ‘Kanchana’.
