A leading website today reported that producer Vashu Bhagnani has requested Akshay Kumar to reduce his fees. Allegedly, Akki is charging Rs 117 crore to act in the espionage thriller ‘Bell Bottom’ directed by Ranjit Tewari. The website claimed that the producer asked the actor to drop the fees by Rs 30 crore and the latter gracefully accepted this request. But the actor and producer himself have been shocked by this news. Producer Vashu Bhagnani said, “No truth to this news at all,” whereas Akshay reacted in disbelief, “What waking up to fake scoops feels like!” along with sad and confused smileys. Because of the multiple Covid-19 waves gripping the world, the release of many films are in limbo with no respite in sight. Even ‘Bell Bottom’ is stuck even though the film is pretty much complete.
