The quirky ‘jodi’ of Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan has signed to play the lead in a space film. This untitled project will be about a team of people, chosen for mission to Mars. Reports suggest that Jagan Shakti, who has been associate director in ‘PadMan’, ‘Holiday’ and ‘Akira’, will helm this film. This untitled project will be a joint venture between Akki, filmmaker R Balki and production house Viacom 18. An official on the same is awaited, which will make this film India’s first space film. Sushant Singh Rajput-starrer ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’ was to be India’s first space film before it was shelved a while ago.
