Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan Khan were relieved when the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) didn’t name the latter in its chargesheet filed in May this year. The government agency dropped Aryan’s name citing lack of sufficient evidence and shortcomings in its investigation. Using this in his favour, Aryan appealed to the special NDPS court through his lawyers to return his passport. Taking cognizance of his appeal, the special court finally directed the court registry yesterday to return Aryan’s passport to him. After getting arrested from a ship in October last year in an alleged drugs case, the anti-narcotics agency had asked Aryan to surrender his passport so that the star-son could not flee the country while the investigation was on.
