Mumbai, the glittering city of dreams from the state of Maharashtra is the hub of Bollywood as we all know…Though predominantly Bollywood is Hindi dominated, there are many movies that showcase fine nuances of Marathi characters which is understood by a vast set of audiences. Marathi culture, the language and its unique facets have often been highlighted in our B-town movies and this is quite a growing trend we are seeing.

the upcoming hugely awaited Drishyam will see superstar Ajay Devgn play the role of a typical local cable operator aka Vijay Salgaonkar who is a fourth standard fail. For him, his family is very dear to him and his life revolves around them.

Amitabh Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan:  Vijay Deenanath Chauhan

The main plot of the movie revolves around how an innocent boy (Vijay) becomes the most powerful gangster of the city (Bombay) and eventually resurrects his father’s respect and annihilates mafia Kingpin Kancha.

Sunny Deol in Arjun 

The film is about a person named Arjun (Sunny Deol) who is in need of a job. He has a group of friends, who unknowingly get involved in small problems faced by poor people and come to be recognized as Robin Hood types. Arjun’s father (A.K. Hangal) is a simple man and has surrendered to living a poor man’s life without confronting the problems faced. His wife Shashi Kala is his second wife who does not like Arjun. He gets used by political people for their selfish purposes.

Sanjay Dutt in Vaastav as Raghunath “Raghu” Namdev Shivalkhar

Sanjay Dutt essayed  the role of Raghunath Namdev Shivalkar the film revolved around the harsh realities of life in the Mumbai underworld.

Ajay Devgn in Singham as Bajirao Singham 

Ajay Devgn essayed the role of Bajirao Singham, it was an out and out entertainer in true Rohit Shetty style. The film saw Ajay Devgn play a role of a honest police officer,but with some pulse pounding thrills and death defying stunts done by Devgn himself.
