Irrfan Khan passed away on April 29, 2020, due to a neuroendocrine tumour with which he reportedly battled for about two years. The ‘Piku’ actor even flew down to the United Kingdom for its treatment. After returning, Irrfan finished ‘Angrezi Medium’ that turned out to be his last film which released worldwide right before the pandemic struck. Many Bollywood celebs paid their tributes to the late actor today remembering him as one of the finest. Divya Dutta said, “One year! Irrfan Khan! It doesn’t and will never feel like you are gone! The amazing legacy of work you have left! And that shy smile and the magical eyes embedded in our hearts!” Nimrat Kaur and Dia Mirza kept it simple with, “Thank you for the gift of your life,” and, “Love and respect always,” respectively. On the other hand, Arjun Kapoor remembered Irrfan’s work as, “The outstanding legacy you have left behind will always be cherished by all of us!” On a philosophical note, Randeep Hooda ended it with, “I suppose in the end, the whole life becomes an act of letting go.”
