Bollywood has come out strongly against the brutal Pulwama attack, with several filmmakers announcing that they will not release their films in Pakistan. Some of the big projects include Salman Khan’s cross-border drama ‘Bharat’, Akshay Kumar’s period film ‘Kesari’ and Amitabh Bachchan-Taapsee Pannu-starrer ‘Badla’. While Bollywood is taking a stand against terrorism, buzz suggests that with this choice of business, the producers are taking an imminent hit at the profits as they lose out on a major market. Trade buzz suggests that these makers are looking at recovering the shortfall by increasing the sale of digital rights of their films. All other plans now seem to be stalled with no respite in sight.
