Varun Dhawan revealed the release date of ‘Coolie No 1’ adaptation yesterday, stating that exactly a year later, on May 1, his version of the comic caper will hit the screens. The Dhawan family has been quick to pick their date, while there are still three biggies vying for a May release. Salman Khan-Alia Bhatt’s ‘Inshallah’ and Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ are said to tie at the box office on the occasion of Eid. On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt’s superhero drama ‘Brahmastra’ is also eyeing a summer release in May. Varun is busy shooting for ‘Street Dancer’, while Sara Ali Khan is wrapping up her romantic film with Kartik Aaryan, after which the duo will begin shooting for ‘Coolie No 1’, in the second half of this year.
