Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor have proved to be a hit onscreen pair, thanks to their last hit together, ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’. However, Deepika wanted to work only on a special film with Ranbir, “I think it is not just about coming together for the heck of it. It is also important that the director who casts us does justice to the film. So we could have done films before this but it had to be special. The feeling with ‘Tamasha’ was right. We heard it separately and were on board.” Deepika and Ranbir are now hoping that ‘Tamasha’ repeats the success of ‘Yeh Jawaani Hia Deewani’.
