Deepika Padukone was rumoured to play the leading lady in Farah Khan’s next venture, remake of the cult classic ‘Satte Pe Satta’ (1982) which featured Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini. However, buzz doing the rounds recently suggested that Anushka Sharma had been roped in for the part as Deepika has reportedly signed up for a dark, romantic movie. “I have found a film that I am likely to do early next year but it’s not light. It’s quite dark but still in the romance space,” confirmed Deepika at an event. Apart from this project, the actress, who did not sign many films post marriage, will be essaying an acid attack survivor in ‘Chhapaak’, which is due to hit the screens in January 2020.
