Deepika Padukone turned teary eyed at the trailer launch of her upcoming release, ‘Chhapaak’. The actress, who is also producing the film, plays the role of an acid attack survivor. “It has been an incredible journey emotionally, putting it together. I feel, irrespective of how it is received, it will be the most special film of my career,” says Deepika. ‘Chhapaak’ is based on the story of Laxmi Aggarwal, who survived an acid attack and went on to spread awareness about the same. Apparently, Laxmi had visited the sets of ‘Chhapaak’ on its first day of shoot. Talking about her, Deepika adds, “When she came on the sets, she was glowing and happy.” ‘Chhapaak’ releases on January 10, 2020.
