Deepika Padukone is all set to turn producer, with a heart-wrenching story of an acid attack victim. The actress will play the lead in this film, which will be based on the life of Laxmi Agarwal, who is an acid attack survivor and experienced this dreaded move at the age of 15. The project will be helmed by Meghna Gulzar, who has directed intense stories like ‘Talvar’ and ‘Raazi’. This will be Deepika’s next project after ‘Padmaavat’. She was to start shooting for Vishal Bhardwaj’s next but the project was stalled due to Irrfan Khan’s deteriorating health and has no news of starting again.
