Deepika Padukone’s first project after marriage will be the heartfelt tale of an acid attack survivor. The film is titled ‘Chhapaak’ and will be directed by Meghna Gulzar, who has to her credit films like ‘Talvar’ and ‘Raazi’. Vikrant Massey will play an activist who campaigns against acid violence. Deepika will not just portray real life victim Laxmi on the silver screen but will also be producing this project. ‘Chhapaak’ is expected to go on the floors in March 2019 and will be majorly shot in Mumbai and Delhi. If the makers are to cast one, lead actor for the film has not yet been announced.
