The magic of the Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel-starrer ‘Gadar 2’ and the Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi-starrer ‘OMG 2’ is still intact at the Bollywood box office. Both films have proven to be superhits and have crossed the coveted three-figure mark with ease. And this seems to be creating a situation for Ayushmann Khurrana’s film ‘Dream Girl 2’. As per reports, the Raaj Shaandilyaa directed film has managed to sell advance tickets of only about Rs 58 lakh so far. The film releases on August 25th. The opening day booking for ‘Dream Girl 2’ so far has sold about 18,500 tickets at the windows. Compare this to its predecessor ‘Dream Girl’, which had a whopping collection of Rs 200 crore at the global box office before it was pulled down. Hence it will be interesting to see how Dream Girl 2 fares at the box office in its lifetime.
