Farah Khan has never shied away from admitting that ‘Tees Maar Khan’ did not set the box office on fire, though the film eventually found its admirers. While promoting ‘Bhoot Bangla’ on Netflix with Akshay Kumar, Priyadarshan and Rajpal Yadav, she shared a surprising memory from that earlier shoot. “We were shooting for ‘Tees Maar Khan’ in Malshej. The call time was 8am every day. Everyone stayed there because it was about a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Mumbai. But Akshay would go home every evening after pack-up and return by 7:45 the next morning.” Rajpal Yadav was taken aback, wondering how Akshay managed the commute. The answer, delivered with a grin was that he used a helicopter. Farah laughed as she confessed it was the first time she had seen “an actor treat a helicopter like a taxi”, though she praised his punctuality. Akshay defended his choice, pointing out that he was also the producer to which Farah quipped in response, “And so was I. ‘Mere saare paise kha gaya.’”
