The character of Gabbar is considered very iconic in Bollywood. While it has been a villainous role, Akshay Kumar is all set to portray a positive role by the same name in ‘Gabbar Is Back’. “That Gabbar was different, he was a villain and here he is the hero. Gabbar has nothing to do with that film. No one should think that this film is ‘Sholay’ part 2. The sequel was not made by me, but by Ram Gopal Varma,” cleared Akshay Kumar. ‘Gabbar Is Back’ also stars Shruti Haasan in the leading role opposite Akki.
