In an unfortunate incident, Govinda shot himself in the leg on Tuesday morning with his licensed revolver while leaving for the airport. After this alarming accident, Chi Chi was swiftly taken to the hospital. The 60-year-old actor was reportedly preparing for an early flight to Kolkata when the mishap occurred. At around 4:45 am, while handling his revolver he accidentally dropped it causing it to misfire. He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at CritiCare Hospital in Mumbai. At the time, his wife, Sunita Ahuja was out of town. From his hospital bed, Govinda shared a reassuring audio message in Hindi: “This is Govinda. Thanks to the blessings of my fans, my parents, and God, I am recovering well. I sustained a bullet injury, but I’m feeling much better now. The issue has been resolved since the bullet is removed. I express my gratitude to Dr Aggarwal and everyone who has prayed for my health. Thank you all.” As of now, there has been no update regarding his discharge.
