Shahid Kapoor had a tough time getting into the character of Maharawal Ratan Singh for ‘Padmavati’, mustache being the toughest part of his preparations. “It took me four months to grow that beard and mustache. Initially I thought it would be done in a month’s time, but growing that mustache is not easy at all. I had to groom and manage it all the time. I discovered that men’s grooming is a big area,” says Shahid. The actor also took a good two hours to get into the heavy garbs and makeup to depict the maharaja.
